ICNL founding member, Sani Kabir dies

A founding member of Independent Communications Network Limited (ICNL), publishers of The NEWS, PM NEWS and the rested TEMPO tabloid, Sani Kabir, has died.

A statement by the company’s management on Monday said the newspapers investor died on December 24, 2020.

The statement read: “Until his death, he was the Sarki Hausawa of Ebute Metta, Lagos.

“For many years, he was also the CEO of Peoples Lotto, based in Isolo Lagos.

“Kabir studied International Studies at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He graduated in 1990 and went straight into business,” the statement reads.

The statement added that Kabir is survived by a wife and two children.

However, the cause of his death had yet to be known as it was not stated in the release by the company’s management.
