The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Uyo, Prof. Nyaudo Ndaeyo, on Friday said the institution would continue to invest in infrastructure to improve teaching and learning.
Speaking on Friday in Uyo while receiving the ultramodern Faculty of Arts classroom block constructed by Fens Properties Nigeria Limited, Ndaeyo stated that the varsity would not stop expanding physical infrastructure.
According to him, many modern buildings have been added to the institution and assured the contractors that the University would continue to partner with and support it to deliver other building projects.
He described the project as ‘top-notch work’, delivered on record time, saying it would accommodate and enable the Faculty of Arts students to learn in a conducive environment.
The ultra-modern classroom block is a storey building measuring 30 metres by 60, with four lecture halls, four offices and twenty toilets delivered within five months by the contractors.
The Chairman, Fens Properties Nigeria Limited, Mr Michael Udofia, thanked the university community and staff members for the confidence reposed in the company to deliver the project.
David Umoette assured that the complex was built according to international best practices, noting that the company would always offer high-quality jobs that meet global standards.
