Etim Ekpimah

The Lagos Sector Command offices of the Federal Road Safety Corps and the Vehicle Inspection Unit at the Ojodu area have been set ablaze.

Officers of the affected complexes have been calling for help from the Lagos State Fire Service, but the fire service feared they might be attacked if they should roll out their equipment for the scene of the disaster.

The fire service personnel rather advised FRSC and VIU officials to deploy their internal equipment to curtail the fire.

The fire on the affected offices had yet to be put out as at the time of filing this report.

It was, however, gathered that many vehicles were burnt including Bus Rapid Transport at Berger, Lagos State.

It was learnt that over 30 vehicles had been razed including the seized cars by the agencies. The whole building was also said to be on fire.

The thugs also invaded the Oba of Lagos’ Palace, removed his staff of office, vandalised vehicles, and carted away many artefacts.

Oba’s office is located at Iga Idugaran in Lagos Island.

In a video that has now gone viral on the social media, the thugs are seen making away with the staff of office commonly referred to as ‘Opa Ase’.
