“We eat roasted human flesh, turns to animals and afflict our victims,” three children witches of same parents tell court.
An Adamawa Magistrate Court, sitting in Yola, presided over by Magistrate Adamu Abdulrazak, has heard how three children of same parents turn into different types of animals to feed on human flesh every three days.
The siblings, Obama Anthony, Bitrus Anthony, and Grace Anthony, aged between seven and 12 years narrated to the court how they can through witchcraft power turn into lizards, cats, cows and other types of animals they chose to cause problems for their victims, including afflicting them with different types of illnesses.
They also told the court how they can use their evil powers to feed on human flesh any time they wish. The three children, who confessed to being neck-deep in sorcery and other psychic activities, declared afflicting a friend of their father, Umar Song, with a strange disease.
The three kids and a woman, Handama, whom they claimed initiated them into witchcraft were brought to court by a community leader and Sarkin Mayu Adamawa, Kabiru Garba, for allegedly bewitching Umar.
In their confessional statements, the children said they initially used demonic powers to tie their father’s friend with ropes and iron as directed by the woman, Handama.
After listening to their confessions, Magistrate Adamu Abdulrazak directed Handama and the children to untie the victim and exorcise the evil things they implanted in him.
Obama Anthony, who is 12 years old and claimed to have been initiated by Handama, stated that the woman has six children and all of them are witches.
According to him, the woman initiated him in the night while they were living together in the same compound.
Obama added that they normally go out for a meeting after every three days at a location called Dabala.
He told the hearing that he turns into a lizard before going out for meetings and eats roasted human flesh during the meeting. He added that he is willing to be delivered from the witchcraft.
On his part, Bitrus Anthony, who is seven years old, also accused Handama of initiating him in the witchcraft, saying that he has never killed anybody, but he has been participating in their meetings and eating human flesh.
Bitrus further disclosed that they have so far bewitched seven people, noting that some of them are alive, while some of them are dead.
He said that he turns into a white cat before attacking his victims.
Baring her mind, Grace Anthony who is nine years old, informed the court that she has been a witch for three years, and narrated how her brother, Obama initiated her, and that she has so far bewitched eight people.
Grace further confessed that she attends meetings every subsequent day at Dabala and turns into a white cow before going out.
She explained that Handama has put headache, malaria fever and other things into their victims.
