The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has recovered a stolen vehicle during a battle with suspected car robbers in the state.
So-Safe in a statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, said that around 0415hrs on 14th October 2023, the officers of the corps, Ado Odo Division under Agbara Area Command headed by ACC Adebesin Lukman while on routine patrol around Olorunleke Community in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area suspected some men in a Marcedes Benz DL 450 4matic marked EKY 520 JA, white, 2019 model.
The corps commander said, having questioned their ownership of the vehicle, they stylishly escaped from the scene.
The statement also read that the effort of the corps was further revealed through a document found in the car that the vehicle was snatched from its owner at gunpoint at Ibadan, Oyo State.
Ganzallo noted that another number plate, AKD 144 AC was found hidden in the vehicle.
Consequently, Ganzallo said that the vehicle had been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Ado Odo Divisional Headquarters for further investigation.
