The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps codenamed So-Safe Corps, has arrested two men for allegedly stealing a motorcycle on 3rd February 2024 which belongs to Odugbayi Qudus.
This was contained in a statement issued from the Office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf on Saturday, 10 February 2024.
According to the statement, at about 0630hrs Babatunde Azeez, 31 years old, who resides at Itado-Odanpopo, Onfo Road and Avose Taiwo, 30 years old of Iwuku-Iseje, both in Ipokia Local Government Area, were arrested by the officers of the corps in Ipokia Area Command for stealing a motorcycle that date around 0130hrs.
“The suspects when interrogated, confessed to stealing the motorcycle that one Ahotin and mechanic by profession and resident of Mogbara, Okere-Ilashe in Ipokia at N400,000 (four hundred thousand naira) while he made an advanced payment of N100,000 (One hundred thousand naira only). All efforts to get him arrested proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
“The command also recovered the seat of the motorcycle and N40,000 (forty thousand naira) as evidence,” Ganzallo said. Ganzallo added that the suspects and the exhibits had been transferred to the Nigeria Police Force, Ipokia Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and likely prosecution.
