The operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) has apprehended a 50-year-old father, who allegedly turned his 14-year-old daughter (name withheld) to sex machine in Ogun on Thursday, 6th October, 2022 around 8 am.
This is contained in a press release issued from the Office of the State Commander of the So-Safe, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf, which has it that ‘the agency swiftly responded to a distress call that drew the attention of the corps that, one Mr Olukayode Joshua, a 50 year old parent who resides at Akinbo Phase 2,Opposite Ola Fatia House, Olambe in Ifo Local Government Area of the state has allegedly had canal knowledge with of biological daughter.
Ganzallo said that having heard about this dissatisfying and inhumane incident, I immediately instructed the Divisional Officer of the Corps, SC Akeem Olaiya covering Oke-Aro/Olambe to apprehend the suspect with immediate effect to serve as a great lesson to others who choose such a barbaric lifestyle as choice.
He added that the Agbado Area Commander of the corps , ACC Mathew mobilized more men to the scene to fully protect the alleged rapist against jungle justice.
Ganzallo bitterly expressed his displeasure in the elderly man during the preliminary investigation of the crime shortly after the suspect confessed to the crime and pleaded for mercy after realising that there is nowhere to hide his secret deal with his innocent daughter.
‘It is so unfortunate that, in the course of our investigation, the victim revealed to our officers that her father has been using drugs for a very long time to seduce her and that she only noticed white discharge from her private part”, Ganzalo said.
Meanwhile, the 50-year-old suspect after interrogation pleaded guilty to the crime, saying it was his first time of doing such with her daughter, that he has never used any drugs for her.
Consequently, the suspect and the victim were thereafter transfered to the Nigeria Police, Ajuwon Police Divisional Headquarter for further investigation and immediate prosecution.
