Oil theft:  Petroleum Minister PAP Coordinator, Ndiomu unite to tackle menace

Sen Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), and Maj. Gen. Barry Ndiomu (Retd), the Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) have pledged to collaborate to tackle oil theft in the Niger Delta region.

The duo held discussions at a recent meeting in Abuja centred on the ongoing efforts to combat oil facility vandalism and crude oil theft in the region.

During the meeting, Lokpobiri who hosted Ndiomu, commended him and his team for their dedication to supporting the Federal Government’s initiatives aimed at creating a conducive environment for investors and promoting national prosperity.

Lokpobiri emphasised the importance of continuing to pursue measures to achieve economic prosperity.

In his remarks, the PAP Coordinator promised to continue to put in more effort in ensuring that the peace in Niger Delta is sustained.

Ndiomu reminded the minister that there has been a drastic reduction in oil theft since he assumed office.

Consequently, both parties expressed commitment to working towards a more prosperous and secure future for the nation.
