Students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta have protested the kidnap of a 400-Level student of Aquaculture, Nathaniel Olayinka Toyinbo by suspected gunmen.
It was learnt that the student was abducted on the farm allocated to him by the school management.
The abductors are said to be demanding a N50 million ransom.
Other students have taken to the streets over the kidnap of the student are demanding adequate security in the school environment.
The students are also asking the government to help secure the freedom of the abducted student.
They are aggrieved that since Olayinka was abducted, there has been no effort by the school management and state governments to secure his release.
Most of them believe that kidnapping and abduction are gradually becoming a norm.
Though unfortunate, Nathaniel Olayinka Toyinbo is not the only Nigerian university student in captivity, students of Greenfield university Kaduna that were abducted weeks ago are yet to be released.
