The National Youth Service Corps has hailed the platoon for the inter-platoon sports competition activities for the ongoing 2024 Batch C stream 1 Corps members.
The exercise is taking place at the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Ikot Itie Udung, Nsit Atai LGA in Akwa Ibom.
The State Coordinator, Mr Sam Pepple, who declared the event open charged the corps members to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship.
He said the exercise would also prepare their physical and mental alertness for them to cope with camp activities.
The coordinator charged the corps members to prioritise safety at all costs while on the field of play.
The exercise would witness corps members in the 10-platoon competing for medals.
The highlights of the opening ceremony were the kick-off which was performed by the state Coordinator as well as group photographs of the players on the football field and volleyball events.
