Many people were injured when two Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) on Tuesday, 17 October, 2023 had a head-on collision at the Cement Bus Stop on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

A source, who preferred to be called Iyabo, told our correspondent that she could not imagine how the two buses could collide in such a manner.

A man from the viral video said he had sent the crash video to a radio station.

He stated that the accident was fatal, adding that people were removed from the vehicles while others were still trapped in both vehicles.

According to him, some crash victims were sitting on the road, while others were lying by the roadside. He noted that the driver was trapped in the vehicle.

However, a source claimed that the two drivers who were said to be trapped in the buses are dead.

Attempts to get comments from the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Nosa Okunbor, were unsuccessful as calls to their lines rang out. They did not respond to text messages which were sent to their phones
