Man nabbed with fresh human parts In Osun

A suspected ritualist with fresh mutilated human parts has been arrested by residents of the Igege community in the Ola-Oluwa Southeast Local Council Development Authority of Osun State.

According to the report, the suspected ritualist, who was beaten to a pulp by the residents, was later handed over to operatives of the Osun Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun.

The report also showed that the man was accosted by residents and was forced to unpack the content of his “Ghana must Go” bag, which was discovered to be human parts.

Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Ola-Oluwa Southeast LCDA, Sunday Olaifa demanded a comprehensive investigation into how the suspect found the parts found in his possession.

Olaifa said that the man has been taken to Osogbo to avoid a situation where residents may lynch him.

“It is true the man was caught with body parts, but we demand that the case be diligently investigated as the suspect claimed he was set up by his “supposed” son-in-law, hence, the matter should be properly investigated,” he said.

While speaking, Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, noted that the Commissioner of Police in the state has been briefed on the incident, adding that police officers have been deployed to the scene.

Opalola promised to provide more details on the incident.
