Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday visited Anambra State to canvass for support ahead of the party’s primaries for the 2023 presidency.
Osinbajo during the visit held hours of a closed-door meeting with the delegates of the state chapter of the APC in Awka.
Journalists were barred from the Conference Hall of Finotel, the venue of the meeting between the voting Vice President and the delegates.
He also refused to answer questions from newsmen who thronged the venue.
Osinbajo, who arrived at the Hotel, around 10:58 am had entered the meeting with APC delegates and ordered journalists to leave the Hall to pave way for their discussions.
The outcome of the meeting was not made known to the public.
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo had immediately, after the meeting left for Enugu state.
Earlier on his arrival in the state, the Vice President was received by the state Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo at the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri.
Osinbajo’s visit is believed to have coincided with the two-day working visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Ebpnyi State.
