One of the robbers who robbed a lady, one Loveth (surname withheld) and pushed her out of a car with number plate MUS 423 AF, died from shortness of breath after a police chase.

The lady was said to have boarded a vehicle at Bolade, Oshodi, in which four men were already on-board.

It was gathered that the nearby police patrol team, who caught sight of the lady being pushed down from the fleeing car, chased after the robbery suspects.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the men abandoned their vehicle and fled.

He added: “Two were arrested and the vehicle recovered. One of the suspects complained of a shortage of breadth resulting from the chase and was taken by the officers to a hospital where he was treated and referred elsewhere for lack of bed space.

“He died on the way. The other suspect, Akuku Tony is assisting the police in the ongoing investigation.”

The PPRO, however, enjoined Nigerians to be watchful out there. Hundeyin said this via his Twitter post on Tuesday, 12 July 2022.
