A two-term commissioner in Lagos State, Dr. Olusegun Oluwatoberu Ogundimu is dead, aged 71 years.
A statement signed by his son, Oluwadamilola Ogundimu and made available to journalists in Lagos on Saturday, noted that Ogundimu was a “strong advocate of democratic governance aimed at promoting healthcare development in the country.”
The family further said that the late medical doctor and former commissioner would be buried on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Lagos.
Ogundimu, as a commissioner during the military administration of Buba Marwa, embarked on numerous health programmes that promoted the healthcare delivery system in Lagos State, particularly for the benefit of grassroots people.
He was appointed member, Lagos State Hospital Inspectorate Committee in 1985, Chairman, Lagos State Water Corporation in 1992 – 1994, member TaskForce, Traffic Decongestion and Control, Lagos State in 1993.
