Firefighters are battling fire at Oko Baba Saw Mill

Firefighters and emergency responders are battling incineration which occurred at Kadara Street, Oko Baba Saw Mill, Ebute Meta area of Lagos State.

LASEMA spokesman, Nosa Okunbor, said the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Emergency responders are collaborating in putting out the inferno.

He said: “There is ongoing Firefighting operations at Kadara Street, Oko Baba Saw Mill, Ebute Meta.

“The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Emergency responders are collaborating in putting it out, details later please.”

Director-General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi One-Sanyintolu, said the LASEMA DG is, however, worried about the activities of hoodlums that are slowing down rescue operations.

“The agency has made a request for security cover as hoodlums and miscreants are hampering the efforts of the joint responders,” he said.
