Ephraim Inyangeyen, former Chief of Staff to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday, said the Young Progressive Party (YPP) would rebuild Akwa Ibom State.
He said this in Eket during the flag-off of National Assembly campaigns for Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District, where he received the YPP flag symbolising his authority to run for the senatorial election in 2023.
Inyangeyen added that God has chosen YPP to rebuild Akwa Ibom State.
Inyangeyen, who was also the Commissioner of Works, urged the people to forget the past, as they hold their future in their hands, saying it was time for them to do the needful by joining the party.
“I have a message from the Lord to pass to you. I have come to tell you that God has chosen YPP as a party for the rebuilding of Akwa Ibom State. So, I join the Akwa Ibom people to celebrate the new beginning with Senator Bassey Albert and to represent Eket Senatorial District at the National Assembly come 2023.
“I came to announce that Akwa Ibom people have chosen to take their destiny into their hands. I, therefore, encourage all to take advantage of this season on a new pedestal. The past is gone. The future is in your hands.
“It is time to do the needful, and the needful is joining the YPP, the party of liberty and redemption. That is the party heaven has ordained for the new Akwa Ibom. And I want to assure you that, with God on my side and your support, I will not fail,” he stated.
Also speaking, the Onna YPP Chapter Chairman, Mr Victor Prince Daniel, said the emergence of Akparawa Inyangeyen as a candidate for the senatorial district and the official presentation of the party’s flag to him was the beginning of good things to come in the area.
“This is the first time a candidate generally accepted by all has stepped forward to represent us. He is indeed a candidate to beat or let me rather say that he has neither a competitor nor competition. His record of service in all previous positions he has held is his best credential. He is the man of the people, a man of purpose and strong will,” he said.
