Fifteen persons who said they were victims of the October 20 shooting of #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll plaza in Lagos appeared at the sitting of the judicial panel of inquiry on Friday.
The injured victims were conveyed in a white bus together with a banner-carrying group ‘New Nigeria Network.’
A spokesman for the group said: “We have people with amputated legs; we have people with brain surgery in this van; we have dozens of them that have yet to be discharged.
“This is from Lekki tollgate massacre 2020. We want justice. We don’t want to be silenced; we don’t want to be marginalised even in our own country.”
In their entourage was Nathaniel Solomon whose younger brother Abouta Solomon was allegedly shot dead at the toll gate.
The Nigerian Army has denied allegations that it shot at peaceful protesters, noting that it only fired blanks into the air.
