Etim Ekpimah

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has made it mandatory for officers and men of the corps to work with Muslim leaders (IMAMS) across the state for solid protection of the Muslim prayer grounds in the 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun State.

This was contained in a press statement issued from the office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf and made available to newsmen on Monday, 8 April 2024.

The statement read that the Zonal Commanders of the Corps have been instructed to renew their efforts and professionally play the role of grassroots security agents sanctioned to rescue our communities from any threat of insecurity and to educate the Muslims, well-wishers, leaders of religious bodies and communities to be safety conscious before, during and after the Eid-il-Fitri festive period. This takes effect from Monday 8th through Sunday 14th. April, 2024.

Ganzallo also stressed that Christian families should show usual love towards their Muslim friends and neighbours by being excellently watchful, and vigilant in the communities so that no records of burglary or attack would be recorded while the Muslim families are out to observe Eid prayers.

“The Special Squad Department of the corps has been put on its toes to tactically strategize that any discreet planned attack on members of the society by any cult group is foiled before, during and after the Eid festive season.

“We warn anybody who has a hidden agenda to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the Eid season to give it a second thought as the corps will not give room for a lacuna that can make them succeed in any planned attack on the good citizens of the state,” Ganzallo said.

He, however, felicitates with Muslim families across the state, especially the officers and men of the corps, corps marshals, and members of the officer’s mess of corps who are Muslims for taking the pains to fast during the Ramadan month which is succeeded with Eid festival.

Ganzallo prays that Almighty Allah rewards them on full scale and grants them their heart desires.
