BREAKING: Troops rescue another Chibok girl, three abducted victims in Borno

The Nigerian military troops of Operation Hadin Kai have again rescued another Chibok Girl Aisha Grema with her four years old child and three other kidnapped victims Mwanret Daspan from Jos, Claris Fidel and Hauwa in Borno State.

The Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Major General CG Musa disclosed this today Saturday 13th August 2022 while briefing newsmen in Maiduguri.

Theatre Commander said troops during clearance operations intercepted three abducted women including one girl kidnapped by Boko Haram from GGSS Chibok on 14 April 2014.

Major General Musa said the intercepted Chibok girl and the rescued kidnapped victims are currently in a military medical facility.

Presenting them to newsmen, the Theatre Commander said, one woman who was part of the female students abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from Government Girls Secondary School in Chibiok, Borno State, more than eight years ago alongside with 2 other kidnapped victims would be released to their family after rehabilitation.

Spye TV News reports that, on the night of the attack in April 2014, 276 female students mostly Christians aged from 16 to 18 were kidnapped by the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram from the Government Girls Secondary School at the town of Chibok in Borno State.

About 57 of the schoolgirls escaped immediately following the incident by jumping from the trucks on which they were being transported, while some others have been rescued by the Nigerian Armed Forces on various occasions.

The outrageous event has stirred global outcry with hopes being raised that the over 200 remaining girls might be released, however, there are fears that some girls might have already died while in captivity.
