With the declaration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani as the winner of the Adamawa State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Binani has made history as the first democratically-elected female governor in Nigeria.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Barrister Hudu Yunusa, made the declaration a few minutes ago following the supplementary election held Saturday.
