… as youths intercept 25 armed Hausa men in Ibadan

Assailants, whose identities have yet to be determined, on Tuesday morning in Ibadan, burnt down Sunday Igboho’s house.
A source, who confirmed the burning, said the building is Igboho’s Soka residence in Ibadan.
According to him, the attackers gained access into the compound from the rear wing.
“We have it on good authority that the main target is Igboho’s main home in Ibadan. But it is hard to gain access because of the security there,” the source added.
No one has been reported injured as at press time.
He accused the Northerners of masterminding abductions and killings in the state.
After the expiration of the deadline, the house, cars of the Seriki Fulani in Igangan was torched.
Igboho denied having a hand in the attack. Today’s inferno at his residence is believed to be a reprisal.
Meanwhile, some youths in the Ido area of Ibadan seized a truck loaded with 25 men armed with guns. All the 25 men were arrested.
It was learnt that the men arrested are Hausa and this raised the suspicion of the youths.
The men, who claimed they were going to hunt around Eruwa, were said to be at the back of a mini-truck but a searched carried out revealed that they all had Dane guns.
A source stated that the men were arrested and handed over to the police station in the area.
It was gathered that the youths in Eruwa stopped them from entering the town.
The armed men were said to have been driven to the Police Headquarters in Eleyele Ibadan for investigation.
